
Yesterday, the Yasmin Foundation had the honor of meeting with Kristen, the Head of the Human Rights Protection Group (HRPG) at the United Nations Transitional Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNTMIS).
The meeting provided an opportunity to present the Foundation’s ongoing efforts in supporting the Somali community, with a special focus on individuals with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in need of help.
During the session, the Yasmin Foundation team shared a comprehensive overview of its programs and services, ranging from free education and healthcare to clean water access and special needs support.
The discussion highlighted the Foundation’s mission to empower marginalized communities, promote inclusivity, and uphold the dignity of every individual, regardless of their circumstances.
Kristen expressed heartfelt appreciation for the Foundation’s initiatives and demonstrated genuine interest in its grassroots impact. She acknowledged the importance of collaborative efforts in strengthening human rights protections across Somalia.
