Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (Americo), Founder and Executive Director of Yasmin Foundation, held a productive meeting today with H.E. Ambassador Alper Aktaş, the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, at the Turkish Embassy in Mogadishu.
During the meeting, Ambassador Americo shared insights into the foundation’s mission, history, and its wide-reaching impact on vulnerable Somali communities.
He presented an overview of the key humanitarian and development programs carried out by Yasmin Foundation since its establishment, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, clean water access, environmental protection, and support for orphans and people with disabilities.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to meet with Ambassador Alper Aktaş. Türkiye remains a valued and committed friend to the Somali people,” said Ambassador Americo, emphasizing the importance of strategic partnerships in expanding humanitarian outreach and maximizing the impact of charitable initiatives.

Ambassador Alper Aktaş commended Yasmin Foundation for its dedication to uplifting underserved communities and expressed appreciation for the efforts led by Ambassador Americo and his team.
The two diplomats also explored potential areas of future collaboration between Yasmin Foundation and Turkish institutions, especially in the field of community development and support for education and health projects.
